Easter photos for Charity

I will be taking Easter photos on March 8 and 9 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the old Crafts Center in Ridgeland just off the Natchez Trace. We plan to leave around 5:30. I do have a sign up sheet but if you want to stop by, I'm sure we could squeeze you in. The above photo is one of the many I took last Sunday. We raised over $400 for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. This is the deal: You will make a donation of $25 or more (write your checkout to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society) and you will get 10 photos on a CD. I will not do prints because it is just not cost effective for this fund-raiser. For more information, call me at 601-573-8458.

About Me

I started a side photography business in April 2006. I specialize in taking outdoor photos of children, family portraits, pets, maternity, newborn, seniors, engagement photos, etc. I am free to take photos on Saturday, Sundays or after 5 p.m. during the week. I do not copyright photographs if you chose to buy the CD of all photos. I also take indoor candid photos. I am also available to take photographs for parties - including birthday and engagement parties.

I became interested in photography when I was in college at Baylor University. I loved taking photos especially capturing people. I was the photographer for the Baylor newspaper for a couple of years. When I graduated from college with a Journalism degree and an emphasis on photography, I moved home to Jackson, Ms. I decided the best thing to do was to find a job as a reporter at a newspaper. I worked as a reporter for the Northside Sun for 7 years and while I enjoyed writing, I missed photography. I currently work as a writer for the University of Mississippi Medical Center. I also do freelance writing and photography for the Northside Sun.

When my first child, Bekah, was born, I couldn't put the camera down. I loved taking photos of Bekah and her friends. With encouragement from my family and friends, I decided to start this business with the dream to one day do this full time.
